I have so little information I do not really expect a result - but I do live in hope. The story was passed down the family that one of my GG-grandfather's brothers emigrated to Australia in the late 1800s and worked in the Post Office there, becoming the Postmaster of one of the states. His surname would be KIDD, but I have no christian name for him - or any location details.
