Would some kind soul know of when there was more information put on the death certificates. In particular, showing (obviously if available) PARENTS names, occupations, and any other helpful identifying info ? My 4x gggrandfather Robert STRONG died in june 1849 and it didn't have his parent's details on it so I am wondering by which date this information became commonly used. Appreciate any help. Brenda (from a rather chilly early winter's day in Hamilton New Zealand)

Dear Joy, I wonder if your "reply" came to me by mistake? Though I do do some research, I am not aware of putting out a call for help lately in that area. I DO frequently wish I had some of course, and will be happy to resume the hunt a bit later on! I thought I had unsubscribed from NZ list months ago, as I got too swamped with SO many messages to deal with, and was out of sorts as well!A great and helpful site for sure. The names Saph etc are not familiar to me.What does a trasnscriber do anyway? Hi everyone, I was in an antique shop on the weekend, in Ohaupo, New Zealand, and was going through their old post cards, the ones with people on it them that had been turned into a Post Card when developed. I was attracted to a very old sepia type photo of a dear little old lady sitting on a chair in what looks to be a back yard with a rough hewn fence behind her. On the back is 'Grand mother Wishnowsky' written in beautiful hand writing, just like that with a space between the Grand and the mother. The Post Card is in french and english, the printed bits of it I mean. Happy to hand it on to anyone researching the WISHNOWSKY line, and also to send the scanned pics of the card. Kind regards, Brenda Hamilton, New Zealand.
Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me trace my Uncle WALTER MARTIN. Born in 1895 to parents, ROBERT MARTIN and RACHEL MacDONALD in Cumberland (now Cumbria).England. He emigrated to Australia in the 1920s, my father kept in touch with him for some time and then all contact stopped. I know this is a long shot as I don’t even know what area he was in but there is always a chance. Regards Diane. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
