    3. Until 8 years ago when new clubrooms were built, the Epping (Vic) Memorial Hall was home to the local RSL branch. There was a rose garden where some members ashes were scattered and memorial plaques installed. When the club moved to its new home the plaques and memorials were also taken to the new location and the rose garden remained. Recently the local Council landscaped the area at the Memorial Hall, and the rose garden was demolished. After complaints the rose garden will be replaced and a new garden and memorial will be dedicated this Remembrance Day. How quickly history can be forgotten by authorities. Jackie
