Hi All, Just thought I would pass on some details on the above Cemetery. It was reclaimed and became a hospital, some of the headstones were removed to Rookwood and are located in the South Western cnr of the Catholic Section near the end of Sheehy Ave. The rows of close packed headstones run parallel to the fence along East St and are not signposted as having been from Petersham. Burial records for Petersham are held by both the Catholic Archives at St Mary's Cathedral and the Burwood Drummoyne Family History Group. I recommend the Burwood folks as for $10 they will look up the records and send you a brief history of the cemetery.
