Hi Pam, If you have access to a library with the microfiche for Waverley cemetery it will save you a lot of money in research fees. The Waverley Cemetery, being a heritage cemetery with lots of work to save and preserve the historic graves in their keeping, charge quite a bit per individual request (or they did a year ago) for burial information, so if you have a popular surname it will cost you a fortune! While travelling last year, I found the National Library in Canberra had the cemetery list as did Melbourne State Library but I later found out my rather close to home Newcastle Library (Family History Department) also has a copy, so your nearest large area library may well have them for you to look at, so save on expense. The microfiche also lists the headstone inscriptions and in my case, they listed all their birth dates as well! What a blessing that was! Best of luck. Hello, Lynette Thank you for your information.....actually as I picked up your email I also received one from Waverley Cemetery setting out their charges....but they DID tell me what I wanted to know as I had no information about Henry at all..... Waverley Cemetery said that a "quick check of their records shows an interment for a Henry Morris in 1921 in the same allotment as a Susannah Morris interred in 1912." This has to be my Henry! I am going to the Library tomorrow at the Church of the Latter Day Saints in Burpengary, so will be able to search further through their records. Thank you for your advice....I shall certainly follow it. Best wishes Pam ----- Original Message ----- From: Lynette Begg <dandlbegg@netexcel.net.au> To: <AUSTRALIA-CEMETERIES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 26, 2003 11:45 PM Subject: [[AUS-CEM]] Re: [[AUS-CEM]] Henry MORRIS > Hi Pam, > > If you have access to a library with the microfiche for Waverley cemetery it > will save you a lot of money in research fees.
