Hi all My Grandparents on both sides purchased plots at Preston in the early 1940's with Dad's mother being buried there in 1948 and his father in 1974 even though he had remarried. With regards to the other part of this discussion is the fact that my brother was killed in Mt Isa (North West Qld) but was buried at Preston in 1964 with Mum's Dad due to the fact that we had very little money left after having brought him home to Melbourne by air(where Mum and Dad always knew they would return to) as you can imagine the costs involved in 1964.
