    3. There's always the other side of the coin too, where cemeteries have pre paid plots on their books, but they never get used. Most likely due to families either moving away, or the kids not being made aware of the existence of the pre paid plot before mum and dad pass away. How long do they have to wait until they can re-sell those old plots? With regards to the other part of this discussion is the fact that my brother was killed in Mt Isa (North West Qld) but was buried at Preston in 1964 with Mum's Dad due to the fact that we had very little money left after having brought him home to Melbourne by air(where Mum and Dad always knew they would return to) as you can imagine the costs involved in 1964.
