The spelling does waver between the two on other documentation (- that's 'cause he was Irish and couldn't speak proper!!!!) but that's definitely him. Barnard HUGHES, died 6th July 1840 aged 68 years. I checked the spelling at it was Barnard, not Bernard. I hope this helps.
