    3. David, May I impose on your time again? Is his wife's name there anywhere? She died 14 December 1860 and her name was Ann Hughes (nee Goldie). If her name is in your books I would be very grateful to know what inscription was on her tombstone if possible. Thanks again, Kerri -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of kerriferguson Sent: Saturday, 17 January 2009 8:29 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [AUSTRALIA-CEMETERIES] Cleveland David, Thank you SO much! I didn't think I had a hope of anyone being able to give me the information. The spelling does waver between the two on other documentation (- that's 'cause he was Irish and couldn't speak proper!!!!) but that's definitely him. I am very grateful for you going to the trouble of looking it up for me and so quickly!!!! It is MUCH appreciated. Johnson and Malcolm R. Sainty, Library of Australian History, Sydney, 2001 there is the following noted: Appendix 3 - Monumental Inscriptions - at Bunnerong: 1247. Barnard HUGHES, died 6th July 1840 aged 68 years. I checked the spelling at it was Barnard, not Bernard. I hope this helps. 3. Kerri; The only Ann Hughes I can locate is an Ann Hughes who died 13 Dec, 1841, aged 47 years, wife of John Hughes of Phillip St, Sydney. I don't think this is your Ann. Still your Ann may be in grave without a monumental inscription. Cheers, David At 08:42 AM 17/01/2009, you wrote: >David, > >May I impose on your time again? > >Is his wife's name there anywhere?
