    3. Anna, What time period ? What religion were they ? Any clues as to where in the Sydney area they died ? Are they recent (i.e., say after 1970) deaths? Is there a death notice in the papers perhaps listed in the Ryerson index? Are they pre 1954 deaths and is there a death/funeral notice listed in the newspapers (many now on-line through NLA) Without some more information about your Haining people, it's difficult to give a useful answer. Rookwood is Sydney's biggest cemetery with a crematorium now attached. It opened in the 1860s There's Macquarie Park cemetery (formerly Northern Suburbs cemetery) There's the Northern Suburbs Crematorium (opened in the late 1920s or thereabouts) There's Waverley cemetery Woronora Cemetery Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park (which includes Botany cemetery) Field of Mars South Head cemetery at Vaucluse Balmain general cemetery (closed 1912 and the Balmain Catholic cemetery closed around 1902) St Stephen's Newtown (aka Camperdown Cemetery) Devonshire Street cemetery (aka Sandhills) closed 1901 Loads of little cemetery areas attached to churches and many more ........more info required please.
