    2. Lynette Begg
    3. Hi Suzi, I have one grave at Payneham but I think it may not have a headstone any more. The caretaker/overseer told me last year they were upgrading that section and the original little name plate had been removed. If it is easy to ask about I would appreciate knowing what is happening there. The name is BROBBLE and the individuals are Arie, Katie, Avis and Ivor, parents and 2 of their children. If anything has been done or repaired to the grave, I would LOVE a photo of it please. Also, a photo of the PARASIERS grave which is Katie BROBBLE's family and the only one in the cemetery. I have no idea if it has a headstone either I'm sorry. 1. [[AUS-CEM]] Petersham Cemetery (NSW)
    2. Mark Fleming
    3. Hi All, Just thought I would pass on some details on the above Cemetery. It was reclaimed and became a hospital, some of the headstones were removed to Rookwood and are located in the South Western cnr of the Catholic Section near the end of Sheehy Ave. The rows of close packed headstones run parallel to the fence along East St and are not signposted as having been from Petersham. Burial records for Petersham are held by both the Catholic Archives at St Mary's Cathedral and the Burwood Drummoyne Family History Group. I recommend the Burwood folks as for $10 they will look up the records and send you a brief history of the cemetery. They can be contacted at Burwood Drummoyne FHG c/- Burwood Central Library 4 Marmaduke Street BURWOOD NSW 2134

    2. Robynne
    3. Hi Elizabeth and welcome to the list. I too am in Melbourne, Outer East, and we are looking for some help transcribing the records of Warnambool cememtery. The purpose of this list is to try and keep a list of all the cemetery records in Australia and make these available to fellow researchers free of charge. Of course there are a lot out there that won't pass on their records but those who are willing to do so will have the details on a web page with a searchable data base. We need people who have a computer and can transcribe these records, we will email you a copy of the program for it to be typed into and then it's up to you how much or how little time you are able to put into this project. More details will be coming shortly as soon as I catch up with Ray but for now I'm taking note of everyone who offers to help then you'll be contacted by Ray with further information. here is a copy of the original message sent out Ray has been doing some great work behind the scenes with Cemetery listings, now if you think you could help out here all you need is a computer and be able to type. We are after anyone who can start transcribing the cemetery list, as little or as much time as you can put in, so that it can be put online as a searchable data base. any further queries, just give me a yell Cheers, Robynne & Ray ----- Original Message ----- From: Cheryl Kirkham To: AUSTRALIA-CEMETERIES-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, February 16, 2003 9:00 AM Subject: [[AUS-CEM]] From Ray Henderson Hi all Ray would like to advise that he now has the registers for the Warnambool Cemetery and is looking for genuine helpers to assist him. 3. Ray has been doing some great work behind the scenes with Cemetery listings, now if you think you could help out here all you need is a computer and be able to type.
