Hi Kay Cook I just arrived back from Yarrawonga. A check of the burial register has your Charles ABBOTT is buried in Yarrawonga Cemetery at plot 47 N COE. He died 26th March 1940, he was a bachelor and died after an operation. In the same grave 47 N and 47 S COE were the following George ABBOTT died 17 Sept 1892 aged 64 Adelaide Charlotte ABBOTT died 12 Aug 1879 aged 68 Harry ABBOTT died 20 Aug 1928 aged 73 Charles ABBOTT 26 March 1940 aged 80 Annie Charlotte ABBOTT 17 Oct 1853 - 12 Dec 1940 aged 87 Lydia Sarah ABBOTT 26 July 1868 - 20 June 1947 aged 79 If your require any further info, please contact the Yarrawonga - Mulwala Historical Society. I presume Harry, Charles, Annie and Lydia were brothers and sisters, however I have not checked any further. I noticed a response from Glenda re ABBOTT she advised Charle's mother is Adelaide Crutchfield. note Adelaide Charlotte ABBOTT died 12 Aug 1879 as above. There was no record of any Susan / Suzana E ABBOTT buried at Yarrawonga. Hope this helps Regards John Shorten

Does anybody know whether the cemeteries in the Rockhampton area have been transcribed? Are they on-line? If so, could you provide the website? If they are not on-line, who can I contact to do a search for me? I am looking for the death of Spencer Edward Shepherd or Edward Spencer Shepherd. It would be after 1946. He was living at Ogmore at the time of his father's death. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Helene
Hello List, Is it possible for SKS to take a photo of my Aunt and Uncle's graves in the Lawn section of the Mildura Cemetery? I was in Mildura two years ago and took the photos but somehow I lost them on the film. The Grave no. is H33 in the name of May MCDONALD died 18th August 1974 Grave no.C40 in the name of Arthur Lloyd TOSTEVIN. If someone can help in the request it would be very much appreciated and I will pay for any cost incurred. Regards, Nancy Martin' Cranbourne, Victoria
Keep trying Ken. I have been able to search Fawkner but haven't found a link to Coburg either. Both cemeteries are not not in the same database - perhaps they'll add Coburg searching further down the track? Cheers, Vicki
Sorry, But when I try www.fcmp.com.au I get Fawkner Memorial Park. I go to deceased persons and a screen comes up which says " error' The site must be debugged. Nothing else happens. There does not appear to be a link to Coburg that I can find to follow. Maybe it is me,maybe something is missing off the url. Help please! Ken Smith --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Hi Leona, Healesville cemetery closed around 1890 I think, and there is a huge Aboriginal burial ground out there as well. I think Lilydale would be your best bet to start searching for a 1990 burial. http://www.art-technology.com.au/lilyhist/ is the url for the Historical Society and they have a lot of information. You can download a file called 'a walk through LIlydale Cemetery' at http://www.art-technology.com.au/lilyhist/l4/ I don't live far from the cemetery so if you find the location of your ancestor I may be able to pop in there and take a pic or two for you.
