Hang on a minute please? Please read my reply to Bronwen? Hi Bronwen, Your information is appreciated, but a point has been missed. Many of these Family history and Genealogical Societies are not happy in wanting to share the information openly on the internet as this would cut our their revenue, we do not want that to happen, but we wish to be able to list the information on our web page so that not only local people within Australia can search but also our friends overseas as well. Maybe I should invite you to look at our web page and you would see the information for your self and see the value of this site for researchers. It is a good idea if one of our members would be happy to do the up-date but the question would be, would the other party be happy to share what they all ready have with us? http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~batman/ Regards, Ray. On the 25th March there was a vehicle accident in Sandridge Cemetery at Mollymook, which consequently demolished two older monuments and damaged a third in the METHODIST PORTION of the cemetery. Given the age of the monuments there is some concern about heritage issues. In the meantime, the graves were * Charles Henry Jones - died 3rd January 1933, * Kathleen Joan Woods - died 5th May 1951, * John Mison - died 26th Sept 1964, * A. McDonald - died ~20th Aug 1950, * and a stone slab over an unknown grave in Row 2C, #30 (checking unmarked graves list) Ref: SCC/28151 Looking for any family members. Hello Janet, I have checked in The Book, "CEMETERIES IN AUSTRALIA......A register of transcripts." Published in 1994. Dromana cemetery has been transcribed up to 1989 and copies are held at Southern Peninsula Genealogical Society in Macrae. Also at Mornington peninsula family history society.Possibly elsewhere as well. If you were to contact either of these groups and find out if the cemetery has been updated, maybe you could do the updating for them. If anyone else wants a cemetery looked up in the book, contact me offlist and I will answer within a couple of days depending on how many lookups I have to do. Bronwen.
You maybe right, but if someone could put it on to a searchable data base it could then be listed within our web page we cannot display fiche. As well fiche readers are becoming harder to get hold of as well. This system is about 20 years out of date now. Regards, Ray. Hi Leanne, I don't believe the MGC is on-line. I have searched the headstones CD and found absolutely no entry for Falcke or anything like it. Someone else may have the CD of the register where you may have more luck. Jenny Boyer Harkaway, Victoria
