has anyone got suggestions as to where FORR in Victoria could be as a death place. in 1963/4 Lyn Baker
Leona... I do go over that way from time to time so if at some point you would like a photo or details of a headstone let me know and I will check out the grave when I can for you... Regards Lyn in Melb
Hi Lyn, Thanks for that........I'll pass the info onto the family. Regards Leona in Toowoomba
Hi Leona The cemetery you refer to could be the Warringal Cemetery at Upper Heidelberg Rd Heidelberg. The Banyule Council has the records for this cemetery and have been very nice when I have requested info from them. Their phone number is: 03 9490 4222 and the address: Warringal Cemetery Banyule Cemeteries Trust C/O Chief Executive Officer City Of Banyule (Ivanhoe Office) PO Box 51 Ivanhoe Victoria Regards Lyn in Melb
Did Melbourne General check the actual book, or just their computer? They have the actual burial books at the cemetery. Lyn
Hello all, I have just received the death cert of Amelia Mary Machen who died on 23rd June 1901. Her death cert says she was buried at Melbourne cemetery on 25th June 1901. However, Melbourne General cemetery says there is no record of her burial under any variation of spelling of her surname. e.g Macheu, Machi? etc. I am trying to determine where she is buried and who she is buried with. Another alternative is that she is buried at Brighton where her son is, and the death cert gives the wrong info. Any ideas? -- Jenny Boyer Harkaway, Victoria

Good Afternoon, Would someone be able to help me in finding if the graves for these two people exist, please? William TRAVIS died in Orange 16 November 1865, buried 17 November, 1865 and his wife Alice TRAVIS died in Sydney buried in Orange 13 September, 1888 in the Church of England Cemetery. The Vicar in 1865 was G A Innes and the Vicar in 1888 was Rev. C.C. Dunstan. I am not sure if there are headstones for these graves. Would there be any church records? They are my Great Great Grandparents. I would be so pleased to receive any assistance. Thank you, Gwenda Thomson, Townsville
Hello to the List, Can anyone tell me if Heidelberg Cemetery is still in existance? My Uncle was buried there in November 1990, in his wife's grave, she had passed away in January 1976. I am seeking the where abouts of the Grave. There is a headstone I think, however, my Uncle's name doesn't appear on it. Can anyone help, please? Leona in Toowoomba
