    3. NEWSFLASH VANDALS DESTROY HEADSTONES AT WILBERFORCE CEMETERY Vandals destroyed or severely damaged headstones in mid September 2003 at the historic Wilberforce Cemetery. About 25 headstones recording about 50 names were affected. Some of the headstones were smashed into pieces whilst others, pushed over. Wilberforce is one of the oldest surviving cemeteries in Australia with many pioneering families including 3 First Fleet arrivals. Fortunately the information has been transcribed by local historian, Cathy McHardy and most of the headstones photographed. Check this link for a full list of names of the damaged graves, with dates of death http://www.hawkesbury.net.au/cemetery/wilberforce/newsflash_sep03.html The newly formed Friends of Wilberforce Cemetery are keen to make contact with descendants or families connected to the damaged graves. Send your contact details to the following : Friends of Wilberforce Cemetery PO Box 7154 Wilberforce 2756 NSW Please feel free to pass this information on to interested person and groups. 3. Hi Raymond, As I posted before - hth The NRMA site - http://www.mynrma.com.au/travel/go/maps/index.shtml has Blackwater. South of Glen Innes, north of Guyra. Go east of Llangothlin, to Blackwater. There is a Paddys Gully Road. I would assume there is a cemetery on this road to Kookabookra. http://www.ga.gov.au/map/names/ Type in Blackwater, Select All, and NSW. When you have found Blackwater, south of Glen Innes, go back to the search page, and type in Paddys gully, All, NSW. You will get a selection of names, the last one is Paddys Gully Cemetery. Click on the name. It wil take you to a map with the name. Click on the name. This will take you to a new map. Click on the zoom button, then click on the cross. this will bring it in closer.Unfortunately this is as close as you can zoom. At least you have an idea of where it is. I used a combination of these sites and the RACQ site http://www.racq.com.au/ to find it. What we need to know, first what state it's in then as to what area it's in within the state please? 2. Hi Pete, I thank you very much - live in Sydney not not terribly convenient for me. It's great the work you and everybody do on this site - was lucky that the one I was looking for in W.A. had been transcribed - found some I didn't even know about. Once again thanks for your offer to help me out.
