Hi all, I am researching the descendants of John Eddie Kennedy & Jean Burns of Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland. They had 12 children. While they emigrated to Canada between 1851 and 1853, settling on a farm in Egremont Twp., Ontario, with most of their children, their two eldest daughters and their husbands emigrated to Australia. (I am descended for one of the children who came to Canada.) The girls and their spouses, Janet Kennedy & William Burns and Mary Ann Kennedy & Daniel Bruce, settled in the Williamstown area. George, died 16.3.1952, aged 68 (Mildura, 1952/17206, son of James PETTIGREW & Mary GEDDES) & Emmeline Matilda, died 24.8.1972 (1972/21279, daughter of William HIGGINS & Mary TONKIN). Hi all on the list. I know this isn't the easiest way to search but I'm hoping someone can help. A cousin of mine Nola HOOPER married a Mr. Miller. I'm not sure if they divorced or he died but she later married a Mr. BURMISTER maybe BURMINSTER. I don't know where in Melbourne Nola lived but my Aunt (80+ yrs) has some difficulty with her memory and doesn't know.
