I'm looking for information on a Maynard Family, Firstly a 18 month old child recorded as dying at Amhurst in Isabella Alfreda Maynard in 1859 Aged 18 months old R# 4460. Do we have any records on Amhurst Cemetery or is there anyone near by the might be able to find out information on this family please there could be other their, but at this stage can only find the one death. Many thanks, Raymond Henderson.

    3. Some of this could be true as I remember a couple of years ago, finding out the many of the burials now at Blackwood cemetery had been moved from another cemetery, but no one wanted to get involved with it, it was almost as if it had been a big mistake and people had been so hurt and up-set by the whole thing happening no one wanted it brought back to the surface again! As for myself, well, I am still doing it all for love. But I always have the possibility of allowing a bit of Advertising on the site, to help cover the costs. 3. Hi List, Yes, it links to The Griffith Genealogical & Historical Society, Whom yes, sell CD's, and of course because they are a Genealogy Society, the income goes back into the group. Which like many others, put their income to good use, creating further resources for us all to use. In this case, we do not have any volunteers in the area. So all we can do is point people in the right direction. In this case it is the Griffith Genealogical & Historical Society. As for our volunteers, the cost of petrol is becoming a big factor. Some of our volunteers are asking for donations, to help cover their costs. In light of the work load that is being carried out by some volunteers, I have little issue with this. Below is an example, of one of our South Australian volunteers workload. /Photos requested in May - 251 Cemeteries photographed in May - 27 Klm travelled in May - 1 ,143 Donations received in May - 9 Less than 5% of recipients currently make a donation Then we have the situation where volunteers are being asked by a few people for large numbers of photographs, that are clearly not related. But, as we feel are being passed on to the naive at a cost. While a lot of our volunteers are offended by the idea, receiving payment. In light of resent issues, that we have had I feel, that our future is a combination of both. Regards Peter Applebee Australian Cemeteries Website / Raymond W.
