Company registrations, documents lodged and so on are held up to 1945 or thereabouts. See the on-line Concise Guide under Registrar-General's Companies Branch. Small private companies are not easy to track down and leave very little behind them. You might also consider pursuing the local government rate books for whichever council was involved at whichever period you are interested in (you don't say when the company was at Alexandria). You probably won't find local government records at State Records, since under the 1960 Archives Act the Archives Office of NSW was specifically banned from collecting local goverment records. I think that may have changed with the new legislation (have a look at the State Records web-site) but they probably haven't got round to gathering them in.
