In May of 1998 I sent an email to the Australia list regarding JOHN AND CATHERINE ANNE BROWN who emigrated to Mintaro, S. Australia in 1852. I received a reply from Coralie Beer of Whyalla which I passed on to my friend who is researching the name BROWN. He now wishes to take up the thread again and sent an email to Coralie recently but it bounced back. Are you still on the list Coralie, perhaps you have changed your email address. If you read this email Nick West would very much like to contact you. He now has a computer and his address is nick.west@tinyworld.co.uk In case there is anyone else who may be able to help here is the original email I sent:- "My friend has in his possession some letters written to England by a John and Catherine Anne BROWN in 1852. They were sent from Mintaro, S. Australia. The letters mention Catherine Anne's sister Isabella and her brother Edward. They are signed by Catherine Anne Brown and she talks of John as if they were married so we can only assume that they were man and wife. Primarely he is researching the IRELAND family who emigrated to Canada in 1842, but the Australian letters were found carefully kept with letters from Canada. Nick is interested in finding out if the BROWNS are in fact related in any way to his family........" Hoping that someone can help with this.
