    3. Denise & the List: In reply to your email regarding NSW marriage registrations. Details on the NSW marriage registration are: Date, Place, Religion, Minister, Status (bachelor, spinster, widowed, divorced), Age, Birthplace, Residence, Occupation, Bride and Groom's Parents names, Witnesses, Other Notations - Permission to Marry. Divorce Date Ref. Note however that the divorce would only be listed on the marriage where the divorce occurred. In other words the registry goes to the marriage registration and notes the divorce details. It would not list all divorces if there were more than one. Thus by ordering a marriage certificate/transcription, where a divorce occurred you will get the reference to that divorce. On the next marriage the conjugal status would be listed as divorced. Hope this helps Allan Murrin ===================================================== JOY MURRIN FAMILY HISTORY SERVICES www.joymurrin.com.au * NSW BDM TRANSCRIPTION SERVICE * ENGLAND & WALES CERTIFICATES *SCOTLAND CERTIFICATES PO BOX 278 OATLEY NSW 2223 Phone (02) 9585-1187 Fax (02) 9585-1486 E-mail: murrinj@ozemail.com.au ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Denise McMahon" <helendmc@powerup.com.au> To: <AUSTRALIA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, 27 November 2000 20:59 Subject: A marriage certificate in NSW > I've a question, listers, for the people who research in NSW a bit...... > > I have not seen many certificates from NSW but I have been led to believe > they do not show the same amount of information as Victoria.
