    2. It is easy to find the extracted records when using the old IGI Fiche. In the number columns off to the right of the information, information extracted from birth/christening records will be preceeded by a "c" and information from marriage records by an "m". There are other symbols, but not as exact. Extracted records are read and entered twice (by two separate readers) They are then matched by a third person, and if they are not identical then the third person attempts to reconcile the problem. Thus the three combined are likely to do as good a job of reading the old records as a concerned descendant would be able to do, unless one is very learned in the handwriting and names of the era. Unfortunately, the computer is not as friendly in displaying this identification. Alas for progress. Barb Rice - Lafayette IN
