    3. I have been told that in Melbourne on 20 September, 1853 William LAWLER was discharged from the barque 'NIMROD'. I have done a number of searches but cannot locate the ship together with this date. Any advice or assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks, Michael Hill Toronto, Canada

I checked a thick book in my local library titled ' Arrivals and Departures Victorian Ports 1846- 1855. Found : Nimrod 893t , Capt J Pearse arr Melbourne 14 Sep 1853 fr Plymouth dep 16 Jun 3 pass ,61 steerage and merch.
