    3. Hi all First of all thanks heaps to all who answered my question on Sandhurst in case I missed someone.. Now I have another question..Can anyone tell me if Jas is a shortened form of another name?..Could it perhaps mean Joseph?..I'm looking for Joseph Kendall's arrival in OZ..Another kind researcher was able to find the arrival his wife Maria and 1 year old infant son Thomas in 1853..I have found two Joseph's but one is to young and the other arrived to late..I found a JAS Kendall arriving about 8 months before Maria,I'm assuming that perhaps Joseph came out first and Maria followed later because of the baby.
