    3. Thank you for your acceptance. I belong to the Ku-rig-ai Historical Society( Gordon NSW). My lineage is traceable to VDL, thence via the 1850's diaspora to Ballarat and onto Kalgoorlie whence I was born in 1932 (Perth) as a 4th. generation Aust. I find I'm unable to put a background to my paternal grandmother's (Elizabeth Keating b. 1866, Ballarat) - father, one Albert Henry Keating [sometimes Henry Albert (b.1834, London) m 13th Apr 1861 Collingwood, Vic # 1187,d. 1885 at Hotham Vic # 8913., and buried in the Necropolis, Melbourne. No record of arrival in Aust. A legend abounds about Keating's father of the same name who travelled to the colony with his two sons. Also taking passage was a Colonial Governor en route to his new appointment. During the voyage a crazed seaman threatened the life of the Governor with Keating's father defended the intending Governor and an altercation ensued resulting in the father's death. The Governor assumed a responsibility for the welfare of the boy and his brother. This story has been handed down and hasn't been authenticated, but could indicate that Albert Henry Keating had a sibling brother- name and destiny unknown. Before I file this legend away as a family myth, perhaps someone may be able to elucidate Noel & Anne Blake.
