    3. Hi Peita, That is them for sure, so thanks for that. Vannet was Barbara's middle name as she was named after her grandmother Barbara Vannet. I didn't know that there had been a boy and suspect that he was the one who died young as I had heard one child did. In the photograph there are five daughters and I then assume the eldest were either born in another area of Australia or even born in Scotland prior to emigrating. The former would be much more likely IMO. Thanks so much for this! Just after WW1 my great-aunt (Barbara Duncan) married William Adam and they soon moved to Australia from the NE of Scotland. I have been able to obtain a photo which I believe to be of them and their family. I am very confident that this photo is of them, and at the bottom of the photo it reads: "Dellow-Studio. Largs S-17" I have had a look around on the web and believe that there is a Largs in NSW and one in South Australia. I also have checked a BMD database for NSW but I cannot see either William or Barbara there. I would love to be able to find out more about the family, in the photograph there are five girls. Any help on the old postcode, if indeed that is what the S-17 is, would be of help and I can then be at least hopefully be searching in the correct state. Regards, Grant Cargill
