    3. I wonder if anyone recognises the following, and could tell me who the 'Mr Allan' was that owned the station? Thursday, July 23, 1835. Sydney Herald. Advertisement. "Two Pounds Reward. Stolen or Strayed, from Mr.Allan;s Station, on the Murrumbidgee, within ten miles of the Yass Township, TWO MARES, in foal, of the following descriptions: One bay mare, branded on the off shoulder with M, with a circule in it, small star on forehead; one strawberry Mare, chestnut head, mane, tail, and legs, branded with a small T on her check, a light spot under her off eye. If stolen, a Reward of Five Pounds will be paid on the Party or Parties being convicted of the offence, on application to the Owner, Mr Swift, at the station of Joseph Parke, Murumbateman." with thanks Jenny Fawcett
