Another family:- Daneil James REGAN b abt. 1864, Hunter's River, NSW, (parents shown as John Regan/Jane Gray), came to Queensland and married Fredericke Augusta STROMEIER 7.12.1896 in Charters Towers and had the following:- 1. George Regan b 26.2.1897 (when his father died 1909 George was adopted out by BLAKOE) married Gladys Barret 23.12.1919. 2. John Regan b 21.2.1899, (may have married a Iris Kathleen O'Connor 19.6.1931 (don't know if this is correct). 3. Adelaide Regan b 28.3.1901 married Claude Stanley SMITH, buried Ayr. 4. Charles Regan b 24.5.1902, (may have found him buried Cloncurry cemetary 6.8.1959), aged 58 5. Mabel Regan b 25.5.1904 married Fabian William SHERWIN, 22 Dec, 1925. Fredericke had left a couple of years before, Daniel died and Adelaide, Mabel and John sent to orphanage Townsville, she took Charles, (the family were told something different). Mabel went to West End School Townsville and Adelaide went to Sth Townsville School and was known to use the name NEILSON, (not sure of spelling).
