Sydney Gazette Sunday June 16 1805. "The General Orders of the 29th September 1800, is to remain in force, viz: All Officers passing the Sentinels after Tap-too beating, are to make themselves known when challenged. Master or Officers of Merchant Vessels are also to make themselves known to the Sentinels, and to the OFficer of the Guard if required. No Person is to pass after Tap-too, either at Sydney or Parramatta, except they are known Householders: who are to carry a Lanthern at that hour. Offenders against this Order to be confined in the Guard house or gaol,and reported next morning. The above Order to be strictly enforced by the Military Guards and Police.
