Joan, From the Pine Ridge (Coburg) Cemetery site - "Records for this historic Cemetery begin in 1875 and show around 52,000 interments until 1971. There is evidence of burials dating back to the 1850s, however the records for those burials were maintained by each denomination group and are presumed lost." Jackie I am requesting on behalf of a friend a burial of Samuel SMITH who died in Melbourne Hospital in May 1862 of a fever at the age of 20 years, only 1 month before his 21st birthday. She thinks he may possibly have been buried in Coburg.
