A person of interest in my research was said to have been a native of Kimo, near Gundagai. He was born in 1848. I am curious to know what Kimo was at this time - ie a locality, sheep station, mining area or ? I am aware that Kimo homestead was built in 1872 and that gold mining occurred at Kimo at some stage. I am also aware of Mt Kimo which is located to the west of the town. All of what I have so far discovered about Kimo refers to much later dates than when my chap was born there.
