I am trying to weave my way through information both factual (birth certificate) and doubtful ( death certificate). Charles Walter Leggett was born in London about 1831. He was in Melbourne in 1843.(death certificate 1890 said he had been in Vic for 37 years) His son, Walter Albert, was born in SA in 1870(birth certificate). Charles W married Mary Symonds (time and place unknown). If information I have is accurate, Charles arrived in Australia in 1843. I also have Annie Eyrl who arrive from England with her parents (another funny story). She married Walter Leggett in Melbourne in 1861. her death certificate says she was 1 year in SA and the rest in Victoria. If this is true she arrived in 1848. Her parents are James and Martha Eyrl.
