    3. Hello I have contacted the list about the same cemetery before but thought as I am nearing the end of my project I would do so again. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has had a family member baptised, married or buried at St. Bartholomew's Church and Cemetery, Prospect NSW. Many of the burials I have located under the name Church of England Cemetery, Prospect NSW. The church today is quite isolated and lays between The Great Western Highway and the M4 and comes of the highway at Ponds Road. I am also interested in anyone researching families in the Old Mount Druitt areas and Rooty Hill. I look forward to hearing from anyone who maybe able to help with my query. Warm Regards Hazel

His name, depending on which certificate (birth, marriage or death) you looked at was William Dewker,Duker or Deichardt Taylor, he was the son of John and Leigh Taylor nee MacKenzie. John Taylor owned land in Rooty Hill and lived in a home named Violet Cottage. John is buried in the cemetery at St. Marys. Neville

    3. Hello Neville How lovely to hear from you especially as you have connections to Rooty Hill. At this time I am winding up the church database and have set a deadline of 16 June 2007 foe my book on William Lawson the explorer and his family members and I have included 780 biographies on convicts assigned to various of these men. As President of Mount Druitt Historical Society I feel it is important that I research my area. My love of research is people from all aspects of life. So I have decided to put together a book on people in our local area. I have already started visiting elderly people in the area and collecting information it will not be a Pioneer Index just a book very like my other two which gives biography on those who resided in our area. My first thought was to enter my ideas on the Australia site in hope of gaining help from those who have descendants connected to the districts. Would you be interested in contributing to this publication all recognition will of course go to you.
