The 24 series of films have more info as a rule This ship departed Liverpool UK 12 Oct 1852 , arrived 6 Jan 1853 . A total of 55 died during the voyage . It was quarantined at North Head for 34 days and a further 62 died mostly of scarlet fever, measles and typhoid . The arrival of this ship caused alot of problems as aside from the diseases at the time North Head Quarantine Station could only accommodate 150 . This ship carried near on 1000 passengers . Just had a look in http://www.booksandcollectibles.com.au/ But no copy available there Its called 'In Quarantine' by Jean Duncan FOLEY pub Kangaroo Press 1995 ISBN 0 864127 703 8 I dont know what will happen to that place ......
