Hi To ALL, Thanks for answering my query on Deaths and Obituaries in the Sydney newspapers. I had several kind people reply giving me advice to use the URL http://www.southernx.com.au/sxgindex.html This led me to indexes for the Sydney Daily Telegraph (SDT) and the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) on the Southern Cross Web Site. I found a death index entry but unfortunately not an obituary. The SLV (State Library of Victoria) hold Microfilms of both newspapers so this saved me a lengthy search to find the death of my first cousin once removed Grandison Charles CULLIS-HILL d. 22 March 2000. I was able to go straight to the entry on 25 Mar 2000. The index project is co-ordinated by John Graham and published on the net by John Snelson. It is a very valuable genealogical resource, entirely created by volunteers of the Sydney Dead Persons Society (DPS) to whom I and all others owe a great debt of gratitude.
