    3. A cousin of mine, Thea Rowe, received an award in 1976 for her services to the Arts, but I am confused as to whether it should be described as an OBE or MBE. On the certificate it says that she was made "an Ordinary Member of the Civil Division of our Said most Most Excellent Order of the British Empire". The website at Buckingham Palace http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/Page498.asp only makes reference to Members of the Order of the British Empire. Were there grades of membership of the Order? Should I refer to her award as being an MBE or OBE? Thanks, Phil Young Glebe NSW _________________________________________________________ Sent via the WebMail system at ancest.com.au Another great service from Aquarius Communications.
