March 1822) GOVERNMENT AND GENERAL ORDERS Colonial Secretary's Office. 21st March 1822 In consequence of Instructions received from Home, the Ration of the Convict in Government Employ is, for the future, never to exceed Fourteen Pounds of Flour, and seven Pounds of Fresh Meat, to be commuted by the Deputy Commissary General as Necessity requires, and according to established Colonial usage. The Reward, payable by an Order from this Office, for the Arrest of Bush-rangers, will, for the future, be Five Shillings for every Time that their Names shall have been advertised in the Sydney Gazette previously to their Apprehension.
