Have just downloaded a copy of a certificate, from 1909, searched the online facility and downloaded the copy of the certificate, it took about 2 minutes from start to finish (I have broadband, think that helps). But I didn't have to wait. The search online isn't kept to 20 years like maxi was and showed the parents (most anyway) in the search. Will have to go easy with my credit card though!
