Hi everyone, I am new to this list and thought I'd post my surname interests. I am trying to obtain family information on Mary (Minnie) WHELAN, who was born around 1857-1862 , apparently in either Braidwood, New South Wales or Raywood. A whimsical woman, she changed her age and place of birth on each of the 2 birth certificates I have ordered for her children. I am planning to order the other 3, hoping for more consistency. As the name Mary WHELAN is fairly common, my search for her birth has not been successful yet. Minnie married George KITTERINGHAM, son of William KITTERINGHAM and Sarah ENGLAND of Poplar, London, England on 18 Mar 1886 in Geelong, although I have not been able to find a record of the marriage on the indexes.
