Hi Listers, First of all Happy New year to everyone, and thank you for your help during this year. One final ask for this year/ Can records be got for bdm in Tasmania after 1899. I have disk 1803 to 1899, but beed info after that date. Thank you. Regards Roy
Hi Roy, There are index fiche for births 1900-1905, and marriages and deaths 1900-1914 and 1915-1919. Some genealogical societies and libraries have them. If you want certificates from 1900 on you will have to apply to the Registrar and pay about $28.50 each, see http://www.justice.tas.gov.au/bdm/index.htm for details. For pre 1900 register copies, many major libraries and societies have microfilm copies of the registers, and you can print a copy for about fifty cents to a dollar, the following site has details of most places which hold the microfilms, http://www.vision.net.au/~tashistory/resource/bdms.htm At 12:27 AM 30/12/00 +1100, you wrote: >Hi Listers, > First of all Happy New year to everyone, and thank you > for your help during this year. > > One final ask for this year/ Can records be got for bdm > in Tasmania after 1899.
