    3. Dear Fellow Genealogists, I haven't been on lately due to the crash of my computer :-( in which I lost all of my emails, some new family information that I had recently found and hadn't backed up and also information that people sent into me for the Tracking our Family Footsteps in Time throughout Australia website :-( I sincerely apologise to those who's information was lost. However, those of you that sent information to the hotmail address, their information was saved :-). I lost everything on my computer and was quite devestated, but am moving forward and am going to make 2001 a great yr for family researching and my personal family in general :-) So heres... Wishing you all a very Merry Xmas and a Great New Year for 2001. If you are taking holidays, please drive safely and be careful. I want to see you all back here for new year. I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of those that have helped me throughout the year, you's have been great. Cheers! 3. Dear Julie, yes moving on is all you can do. Same thing happened to me. We all think that it can't (won't). Returned from overseas in early August, No 1 son informed that a faulty CD Rom was to blame. Lost nearly 18 months worth of e-mails. Just days prior to going on holiday had found vital information and all was lost! Thank God, I have a very good memory and remembered the vitals. The hardest thing to come to terms with was the loss of my address book, genealogy and private. I know keep them separate, although it is sometimes hard to define, and BACK up my address book every week. If you have that you can start again. I know this may be no consolation at this time, but time heals. Regards, Anne, Melbourne.
