Hi to all listers, Do any of you have any "SYKES" connections,as i am researching the following "SYKES" family,in Australia as follows: George & Mary Thornhill SYKES (nee GRAHAM) issue: Violet 1891,George W.1893,Madeline 1895,Winifred 1899,Dorothy 1911. The parents of George (senior) were Samuel&Grace SYKES nee COTTERILL. George SYKES came out to Aus.in the 1920'S,originaly from Stockport Ches I am a gt grandson of George's sister Hannah SYKES who married Charles HARDING in 1886 in Stockport. I have already found one branch via Madeline SYKES (1895) who married Walter R. WAUGH. Can any other branches be found in time for Christmas? Regards to all, Wishing you all the best for Christmas. Hi Ken, I don't know if this will help at all, but my grandfathers sister Catherine SUNDERLAND, born 1891 in Stockport, Cheshire, married a Samuel SYKES sometime before 1928, as she is mentioned on my great-grandmothers death certificate.
