    3. Mary Ann Warner has just uploaded new crew and passenger lists into Sydney 1854 - 1879. http://mariners.records.nsw.gov.au/shipdate.htm Mary Ann's work is voluntary, and is hosted by the NSW Government. You can view the transcribed lists, as well as the ORIGINAL passenger/crew list. This is a brilliant resource for Australian genealogy, and Mary Ann welcomes anyone who has a spare hour who would like to help transcribe a list. They are easy to do, and Mary Ann helps you with the process. So if you have been considering volounteering for a project, Mary Ann would love some help. There are already a team of volounteers helping, but extra hands would be great. If you wish you can pick a month of any year where you think family arrived, and just transcribe a certain number of ships if you wish. Ship's arrived at Sydney from both intercolonial and international ports. These passengers and crew are arriving from overseas as well as from interstate. They also include stoways, deaths at sea etc. The lists include the occupation and ages of seamen. If May Ann can complete the pre 1900 era, she is going to move on to ships after this time, so it is to the benefit of all that htesse lists are made available on time. best wishes Jenny Fawcett
