Hello Family lore is that one of our Fehligs emigrated, probably about 135 years ago, from Harsum, Hannover to Australia, and died there about 105 years ago. The story is that, when he died, no one in the family was willing to travel from the USA to Australia to claim his land as inheritance, so it defaulted to the state. I suspect that this would have been Dietrich Fehlig; I have traced all the other siblings. Can you please supply any idea as to what I could do to determine if there is any truth to the story?
