    3. Are you SURE it says that his address was Wellington - or could it have been WELLINGTON STREET? Do you have a copy of the actual hospital registry - it would be available from the National Archives, and sometimes if you have a typed certificate, the information can be incorrectly read and transferred from the hospital record to the death entry to the certificate [ I know this as I have looked at the Auckland Hospital registers not long ago, and the writing can be somewhat spidery ]. Just a thought - Wellington St is in the central city, and in the area that many people lived around back then.
