Hello List, Happy New Year to you all, I received an obituary from the paper that says: "A member of the Gallipoli Legion, Mr Alexander Archibald McLean died at his home at Tanglewood, Armidale yesterday...... He was a member of the 1st Australian Light Horse and saw service in World War 1 at Gallipoli." Is the "Gallipoli Legion" a special thing - or does it just mean he served in Gallipoli and the bit in the paper was a newspaperman's licence. Regards, Debbi - in Dubai
