Hi List, Happy New Year to all. On the copy of my GG/Grandparents shipping list Ireland to Australia in 1858 it shows Bounty Money 16 pounds for parents each and two of there children then eight pounds each for further four children. Total 96 pounds. Could someone please tell me what Bounty money means and why it was paid And how they would pay it.( work etc). You can see I am new at this I am pretty green. Regards Roy
