Hi, I am interested in a family of the MacDonald Valley (near the Hawkesburry). Five BAILEY sons married 5 Fernance Daughters. The ancestor William Bailey arrived on the Matilda in 1791 at the age of 35. Does anyone know of his ancestory. My English Grandfather, Frank Bailey, came to Australia in the early 1900's & settled near Ballina, where he had an aunt. There was (& still is) a Fernance family in the area. My Grandfather told my father that he was distantly related to the Fernances. My Bailey's are from Wisbech, Norfolk. I would like to trace the connection. Cheers, Donna.
