    2. Jenny Fawcett
    3. An index to convict transfers in Tasmania for the year 1836 has been added online http://www.genseek.net/tct36a.htm This is an index to convicts in Tasmania who were transferred between employers, in the year 1836, through the Convict Assignment Board. These lists can help to fill in a convict's whereabouts during certain periods of their service in the penal system, which is not commonly recorded on their conduct record. They should act as a supplement to records such as CONDUCT, INDENT and DESCRIPTION records, which can be obtained through the Archives Office of Tasmania. NB: Original spelling is retained in the index. cheers Jenny Fawcett

    1. [AUS] Tasmania COnvict Absconders Index 1836 online
    2. Jenny Fawcett
    3. An index to Tasmanian convict absconders for the year 1836 has been added online. The index to some 1270 convict absconders in Tasmania for the year 1836.Each convict can be identified either by the ship they were transported aboard to Tasmania, or by their assigned (convict) number. If the convict's ship is listed, the usual information provided is Name, Surname, Occupation, Ship, Native Place, where and when absconded, Age, Physical Description (along with record of tattoos, physical deformities or markings etc). Also listed is Trial Place and Date, Sentence. If only the convict's number is listed, then there will little information other than the time the convict absconded. This is because usually this convict has been arrested within hours/days of their having been noted as missing. http://www.genseek.net/tabs36a.htm cheers Jenny Fawcett

    3. Hi, just wondering, did you find someone to develop your negative?? If not, I would be happy to do for you digitally. The last one I had to do was from WW1 in Gallipoli. I can also put pics onto disk for you so you don't lose them. Eventually these old negs will just perish in the atmosphere. Anyway good luck Lea ----- Original Message ---- From: Annette O'donohue <ehawkpr@netconnect.com.au> To: AUSTRALIA-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, 12 October, 2006 6:09:20 AM Subject: [AUS] Black & White Negs Hi List Are there any amature Photographers around who could develop some ole B&W negs 2 & half inches by about 5 inches.
