That is more likely Guy Neville MACLEOD was in Australias forces in WW2 .......... See : www.ww2roll.gov.au Go check this out and you will see he enlisted in Queensland. His next of kin listed as Kathleen MACLEOD. No record of him marrying in NSW At my local FHC library we have a few electoral rolls including the 1993 roll for Queensland .......... Guy Neville and Kathleen MACLEOD were living at 4 Oringa St Wartulla Qld 4575 ( thats near Caloundra on the Qld Sunshine Coast north from Brisbane) I have a few phone number CDs and alas neither appear in the May 1997 CD Caloundra cemetery indexes are on line but no GN or K MACLEOD I think there is a distinct possibility that this whole MACLEOD family moved to Qld after the death of Malcolm MACLEOD in 1916 ......... No death in the NSW indexes of any Sarah H There is one MACLEOD living in Wurtulla in the current phone book data base . I rang to check but the lady who answered had no knowledge of any Guy Neville MACLEOD You could try Caloundra library on http://tinyurl.com/yz524a HTH bye MargM AUSTRALIA List Admin

    1. [AUS] Rare Early Maps Of Australia Online - FREE!
    2. David Hale
    3. Hello All. I am writing to introduce a free map website displaying high quality scans of rare 19th century maps of Australia. The site is: MAPCO : Map And Plan Collection Online http://archivemaps.com The 9 Australian items currently displayed are at: Australian State and City Maps http://archivemaps.com/mapco/aust.htm Wyld's map of Australia c1858 will be of great interest to researchers, and the 1830s plans of Adelaide will be of particular interest to South Australian researchers. Early maps of Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, and various 19th century maps of Australia will be added in the near future. Some of these maps can be previewed on the Australian Maps page. MAPCO's aim is to provide genealogists, students and historians with free access to high quality scans of rare and beautiful antique maps and views. The site displays collectable 18th, 19th and early 20th century maps and plans, with an emphasis on early maps of Australia, London, and the British Isles. There are currently 9 high quality Australian items on display, along with 19 maps of London, plus several highly detailed maps of England, Scotland, and several English counties. The site will eventually display over 100 high quality maps, plans, and views. These maps are a wonderful resource for family history research. MAPCO is a free access website, and will remain so. I do hope that you find the site interesting and useful. Enjoy these beautiful maps! Kind regards, David Hale, Adelaide, South Australia. 2. Mackenzie, Andrew (HP Labs)
    3. Hello, I would like to try and contact either Ronald Cameron MacLeod, or Guy Neville MacLeod in New South Wales, or relations of them. They are distant relations of mine, and I know that both were alive and in touch with common relations (from Raasay, Scotland) in 1980, but I have not been able to establish contact with them. They are decendants of John and Margaret MacLeod, emigrants from Scotland on Ontario ship in 1852, and via Malcom MacLeod (1851) and Sarah Hannah Bishop (1860) Malcom JA MacLeod (1881) and Mary A U Harper (1891) Guy Neville MacLeod (1914) I searched WhitePages on the web and found a GN MacLeod (and an RC MacLeod) in Albury, but neither number rings and when I call International Enquirees they can't find them. So, I suspect the web version of the White Pages are out of date, and either one or both of them have died. Please contact me on: andrew_d_mackenzie@hotmail.com Thanks in advance regards Andrew Mackenzie

    3. Hello I am not new to the list but have recently come across a possible connection to my LAWSON family who seem to have settled in the Tamworth area. I have a CHARLES LAWSON whose marriage is registered in 1858 Sydney to a SARAH E WRIGHT?. I have browsed the birth registrations and come up with the following children: James L, 1859 and Charles A, 1861 both birth's registered at Sofala NSW other possible children are Sarah E 1865, Mary J 1867, Nale C 1868 (Ibelieve he also comes under the christian name Nelson on the BDM's Indexes), Christianne 1870 and George Alfred 1874 all these births are registered at Tamworth NSW. I have a marriage for NELSON C LAWSON to SARAH A WOOLLASTON registered in 1901 in Tamworth NSW. If anyone is researching either of these families I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank You Hazel
