    3. Hi Neville Thank you for your kind help yes you do have the same family members I have. Today I paid a visit to the family and according to them my Caroline was actually named Chalker so again have to look for a marriage between Samuel Marks and Caroline Chalker. I must admit with your help and what I had already found all fell into place. Maybe I can ask another question why would a man with the surname Lix give his two daughters the surnames Diot. According to the family he was French by birth and was possibly of means. His youngest daughter was born ON 10 Sept 1905 at Kakatai, British New Guinea. The more I delve the more secrets and unusual things appear within the family ranks. 3. Hello I have contacted the list about the same cemetery before but thought as I am nearing the end of my project I would do so again. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has had a family member baptised, married or buried at St. Bartholomew's Church and Cemetery, Prospect NSW. Many of the burials I have located under the name Church of England Cemetery, Prospect NSW. The church today is quite isolated and lays between The Great Western Highway and the M4 and comes of the highway at Ponds Road. I am also interested in anyone researching families in the Old Mount Druitt areas and Rooty Hill. I look forward to hearing from anyone who maybe able to help with my query. Warm Regards Hazel

    1. [AUS] HAT-history of Australian Theatre update
    2. Leann Richards
    3. www.hat-archive.com HAT- History of Australian Theatre If you have ancestors who performed or were involved with theatre in Australia you might find them on the 15000 entry database. This month I have just done a small update. I added about 100 new names to the database, and 20 pictures to the pictures section. I also added an article about Oscar Wilde's plays in Sydney. For those interested in magicians of the late 19th and early 20th century, Kent Blackmore, Sydney's magic historian will be giving a lecture on them for the Royal Australian Historical Society. The lecture will be at 133 Macquarie Street Sydney on 15th January, 6pm, Cost is $7. Bookings essential on 9247 8001.I'll certainly be there as it's my workplace. In other news, please buy the book Houdini's tour of Australia, from Gininnderra Press at http://www.ginninderrapress.com.au. I'd like to thank everybody for their support for the site this year and wish you all a Happy Xmas and a merry new year. Leann www.hat-archive.com HAT- History of Australian Theatre

Maybe registered in different centres!! The "Ebba Brahe" sailed from London for Sydney 6th January, 1855. There is no passenger list just a list of so many females and males - no children. Apparently Samuel and Caroline were newly wed when they made the voyage out. Their first child Mary E. was born in 1856 and died in 1899; the second was Mercy who was born in 1857, married Thomas Charles Coleman at Parramatta in 1882 and died at Granville in 1932; next child was John born 1859, died 1860; then came James born 1861, died 1861; then Agnes S. born 1862, married John McVey as Sarah Agnes in 1882, the marriage registered in Central Cumberland; Jane was next born 1864, died 1870, then came the second James born 1866, died 1868; then Samuel born 1868, possible marriage to Edith A, Brevitt in 1900, died in 1939, Edith died in 1932; Susan followed born 1871, married Thomas J. Ryan in 1900, died 1919 in Penrith; the last child born to the couple was Charles in 1874, he died in 1875. Birth or death certificates should tell if they were all one family or not.
